A healthcare professional wearing a gray t-shirt and blue gloves is holding a baby with red hair and fair skin, who is lying on a beige cushion and looking up. The caregiver’s arm has colorful tattoos, and they are in a medical setting with a box of Nitrile Exam Gloves visible in the background.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
We cannot take insurance directly. However, we can sign the insurance forms for you to send to your insurance company to request reimbursement. I can directly take FSA and HSA cards.

HOW MANY SESSIONS IS RECOMMENDED FOR AN ADULT?
A lot of clients notice relief after just one session—but when it comes to chronic things like long-term back pain, migraines, or nervous system issues, it usually takes a more consistent plan. For the best results, I typically recommend coming in every other week for about two months. While it’s common to feel a shift after that first visit, it’s the steady, ongoing work that really helps things stick.

HOW MANY SESSIONS IS RECOMMENDED FOR A CHILD?
For kids 0–12, shorter but consistent sessions tend to work best. I usually recommend starting with a 45-minute visit, then doing a couple of 30-minute follow-ups each week after that. Since I often book out a few weeks ahead, it’s a good idea to schedule your initial session and follow-ups together—just to make sure your kiddo has a spot on my calendar after that first visit.

I HAVE AN URGENT SITUATION WITH MY CHILD, CAN I BE SEEN SOONER?
I keep a couple of hours open each week for time-sensitive cases. If your baby is under 6 months and dealing with things like feeding challenges, colic, major tummy troubles, or had a tough birth (including interventions like vacuum or forceps), I’ll do my best to get you in quickly. Just send a note to Contact@doulajandra.com and share a bit about what’s going on—we’re here to help.

IS CRANIOSACRAL LIKE A MASSAGE?
This question comes up a lot. While CranioSacral is a hands on modality like massage, a massage will focus only on external soft tissue (muscles, and tendons). Whereas CST works with your Central Nervous System (CNS). Therefore it is a modality that can enact much deeper and lasting change throughout the body, affecting any structures within.

WHO CAN RECEIVE CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?
CST can benefit almost everyone of any age 0-100+. There are a few conditions, however, CranioSacral therapy may not be appropriate for and you’ll need to talk with your CST practitioner and/or physician.

Your session will need to be postponed if you have experienced any of the following and have NOT been released for treatment by your physician:

  • Recent Concussion

  • Blood Clots

  • Recent Traumatic Brain Injury

  • Recent Brain Aneurysm

CranioSacral Therapy may not be right for you if you have:

  • Cerebral Swelling

  • Structural defects in the cerebellum such as Arnold-Chiari malformation

  • Any disorder that causes an increase amount of intercranial pressure or fluid buildup

WILL CRANIOSACRAL HELP WITH _______?
CST is a broad spectrum modality and can treat and relieve symptoms of many illnesses and conditions. Most likely CST can assist with your overall function. If you a have a specific question about an illness or condition, please do not hesitate to ask your therapist.

*CranioSacral assessment and treatment is not meant to be a replacement for diagnosis and conventional treatment of any serious condition but it is excellent as a complementary therapy or as an additional non-surgical treatment option.
