Facilitating healing through CST, Functional Movement and Doula care

Life brings profound experiences—from being born to giving birth, to simply navigating the journey of life in your human body. These emotional, mental, and physical impacts shape us, often leaving subtle or not-so-subtle imbalances. At Doulajandra, we understand that trauma—whether emotional or physical—affects all aspects of your functionality because every part of your body is deeply interconnected.

Through craniosacral therapy, tailored pre-labor movement plans, and doula support, we gently and gracefully address these imbalances, helping you reconnect with your innate health and vitality at any stage of life.

01 | Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

A woman with dark hair, glasses, and jewelry smiling as she performs CST on a person lying face down on a massage table, with a decorative wall in the background.

CranioSacral Therapy can be an important tool throughout life, supporting the body as it processes the stress and tension from our lives. These tensions can come from illness, trauma (physical or emotional), surgery, stress, giving birth or being born - among many others.
From the very beginning, our bodies carry the imprint of these experiences and that tension settles in our nervous system, muscles and connective tissue, until it can’t anymore.

When the body reaches its limit, it becomes unbalanced, manifesting symptoms like migraines, headaches, neck and back pain, anxiety, sleep disturbances, depression, irritability, digestive issues, TMJ, and more. These are the body’s signals that it needs gentle support and realignment to restore balance and well-being.

CST provides support for all stages of life:

  • Breastfeeding & Latch Issues, Colic & Reflux

  • Migraine Headaches + Chronic Neck and Back Pain

  • Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)

  • Stress and Tension-Related Problems + Chronic Fatigue

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder + Emotional Difficulties

  • Central Nervous System Disorders

  • Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries

  • and more

Kind Words

  • I can't say enough great things about her!

Alejandra was a fantastic doula for my husband and I! We are third time parents and she was able to give us excellent help and tools for a greta labor and delivery. Thanks to her I was able to labor at home for 10 hours and delivered an hour after arriving at the hospital. Her labor techniques allowed me to deliver unmedicated and follow my entire birth plan - first time I have been able to do that! I can’t say enough great things about her and I highly recommend her if you need a doula or any post-labor support!

    — Kristine R.

  • I wouldn't have gotten so far without Doulajandra!

“You’re the best doula in the world! I can’t say enough about how much you have enriched this experience and empowered me, even in this short time. I wouldn’t have gotten so far without you and I wouldn’t feel this positive about the experience without your emotional support.

    — Liz B.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Doulajandra takes, on average, one client per month. However if a repeat client calls, or there is a strong connection with someone, she will take more than one client periodically.

  • This is a common one, and harder to answer in a quick sound bite, but - chiropractic care works primarily with the bones and their alignment. Craniosacral therapy, and the bodywork Doulajandra does, works with soft tissue and the flow of energy throughout the body. Chiropractic care and CST are a wonderful compliment to each other.

  • IBCLCs work, primarily, with the dyad of mother and baby. They work with clients on latch, positioning, pumping, supply etc. and can identify breastfeeding issues that come from tension or postural imbalances, however they rarely have the training in bodywork to treat those imbalances.
CST works to releases the tension and/or nervous system dysregulation that is causing the imbalances that affect breastsfeeding.
Again, as with many things, CSTs and IBCLCs work very well together and Doulajandra refers out to IBCLCs often.

  • For each person, the answer varies. Though many families get relief following the first visit, it typically takes multiple visits to correct the dysfunction that led you to seek care in the first place. Doulajandra empowers all parents, when working with infants and children, by teaching them many stretches and exercises they can do on their own at home - which can help minimize the number of follow ups need.
